Registration No: MGW 503W
Chassis No: GVADJ1AG518201
MOT: Exempt
Following its replacement of the MGA in 1962, the MGB was steadily updated during its 18-year reign. However, the biggest visual change in the car's history occurred in 1974, when steel reinforced rubber bumpers replaced the chrome ones, and the ride height was raised by one inch. By the time Roadster production ceased in October 1980, a total of 399,070 are said to have been produced.
This final year-produced MGB Roadster was registered in the UK on the 28th of August 1980 and is fitted with the 1.8-litre straight-four engine mated to the four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Finished in the attractive colour combination of Vermilion paintwork with Silver/Grey cloth interior upholstery and a Black hood. ‘MGW 503W’ has covered 5,390 miles from new (at time of consignment) and is offered with a collection of past MOTs and service book. Entering current family ownership in approximately 2000 (although not transferred into his company name until 2005), the B has been displayed by the vendor's late father in his showroom (where pictured) since c.2000, alongside a c.150-miles Triumph Stag and c.160-miles Mini Cooper. The MG had one previous private keeper from new and is offered in running and driving condition, although would benefit from some light recommissioning due to the lack of use over the past approximately twenty-one years. Accompanied by a current V5C, original jack and a past logbook.
PLEASE NOTE - This lot is now offered with its original service book, collection of old MOTs, original sales invoice and handbook.
