H&H Classics is offering a once in a lifetime opportunity to own the first Norton F1R ever produced and raced.

The ultra rare 1990 F1R model is going under the hammer at its classic motorcycle auction on Wednesday 30th October at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull and is expected to fetch £52,000-£56,000.

Mike Davis, motorcycle specialist at H&H Classics, said: “Our auction at the end of October is an incredible opportunity to own an extremely rare slice of motorcycle history.

“We expect a lot of interest in this special Norton F1 which has seen competitive action and won a number of races. It also looks amazing and is instantly recognisable in its black livery.”

Frame #1 was the first P55 (F1) to ever leave Norton’s Shenstone factory on 1st April 1990 and this highly desirable model has been in single ownership from new.

It was raced in the German 'Battle of the Twins' (BotP) Series, while the engine was rebuilt a few years ago and now has specially machined high-compression rotors, aero twin-plug trochoids and Mikuni flat-slide carbs. A works-type exhaust system was also added.

Mike added: “Style, power and performance…the Norton F1R is the total package and this particular model, which has been running recently, is a must have for any Norton aficionado.”

British motorcycle manufacturer Norton has produced some truly iconic motorcycles, the F1R being one, and its name is known for speed, power and innovation.

The Norton brand continues to be revered throughout the world, inspiring passion and loyalty among riders and enthusiasts alike.

Those wishing to bid on the Norton F1R, or any of the other lots, can do so on the day in person, via online or telephone bidding, or by leaving a commission bid. For further details or to register to bid, visit www.handh.co.uk.
