An attractive single-sided die-cut circular enamel on steel advertising sign, as produced by National Benzole in the c1930's to advertise their oil products. The sign features the winged Mercury pictorial image to the centre, above black, with text reading 'National Benzole Mixture' to the outer circumference in black over yellow) .The piece does feature some light enamel loss & rusting (primarily to the outer edges), however this doesn't detract from the overall visual appeal of this rare sign. The reverse side is enamelled in black & features some enamel loss, heavy discolouration & scratches. The sign has retained a great gloss & is particularly eye-catching, due to its convex design which helps it to stand out above others when displayed. Very seldom-seen & attractive. Diameter is 50cm
