Lot details Registration No: ET 7878 Chassis No: GX0104 Mot Expiry: Exempt
This delightful Rolls started life as a 1929 O Series 20hp, chassis No. GVO49. The build cards show it was later returned to the factory and converted to 20/25 specification. Now rechristened No. GXO104 it was delivered to Rippon Brothers, who crafted its attractive Saloon body. The first keeper was Alderman A.R. Habershon of Rotherham, to whom the car was supplied on October 30, 1933. The Dark Green coachwork is topped by a fabric covering and the interior trimmed in Green hide that's complemented by matching-coloured carpet and wood facia and door cappings. The vendor considers the Rolls to have 'very good' bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, six-cylinder engine, and four-speed manual gearbox. 'ET 7878' has remained within the same ownership for nearly 50 years, during which time it has annexed multiple concours trophies and been a winner of the RREC conservation class. It is now offered complete with a year's tax.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
