Unveiled in 2002 as a replacement for the Red Label model, the Arnage R boasted an improved Bosch Motronic ME7 1.1 control system (which also enabled the fitment of ESP), twin Garrett T3 turbochargers, close-coupled catalytic converters and 405bhp/616lbft. Reputedly capable of an electronically limited 155mph top speed and 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds, the handsome Bentley offered a combination of performance and luxury that few rivals could match.
Finished in Dark Metallic Green with Green leather upholstery, this particular example began life as a Bentley Crewe press car and initially wore the factory registration number `1800 TU'. In addition to rating the Arnage R's engine, automatic transmission, electrical equipment, interior trim, bodywork and paintwork as "excellent", the vendor warrants it to have covered 71,000 miles from new (a figure reportedly substantiated by its "service book and MOT history").
