Lot details Registration No: Y502GKR Chassis No: SCFAB12381K301554 Mot Expiry: March 2013
The V12-engined Vantage version of the DB7 was introduced at the 1999 Geneva Salon. The jewel in its crown was its 6-litre 420bhp engine - the first V12 unit ever to power a production Aston Martin. Sixty miles-per-hour was now available in 5 seconds flat.
This very attractive, rare manual transmission DB7 Vantage is a 2001 example with Girgio Titanium paintwork complemented by Red leather upholstery. The impressive specification includes: heated electrically controlled front seats; heated screens front and rear; air conditioning; premium sound system; aluminium pedals; factory sports exhaust; red brake callipers; new tyres. The vendor informs us that it has had five owners from new and that 'no expense has been spared' in terms of maintenance, with all requirements tended to from a suspension refurbishment to a brake overhaul. The gearbox was apparently replaced under warranty and the clutch was renewed some 16,000 miles ago. He currently regards the bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, engine and gearbox as all being in "excellent" order - the odometer currently shows an unwarranted 57,549 miles. 'Y502 GKR' apparently benefited from a major service by Trinity Engineering last October at a cost of £7,700, and is now being sold complete with service history, an extensive array of invoices and an MOT valid into next March.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
