At the end of 1968 Honda unveiled a production racer based on the CB350 at the Tokyo Show. Typed the CYB350RSC it produced a claimed 53bhp at 10,000rpm ensuring that the machine would be competitive. Although some complete machines were offered for sale, Honda's primary intention was to offer a "race kit" enabling the conversion of the standard CB350 roadster. The kit included a revised set of gears for the five speed gearbox, Ferodo racing brake linings, alloy rims, racing bodywork, a new cylinder head and pistons giving a higher compression ratio and better breathing thanks to polished ports together with a polished and lightened crankshaft assembly, a pair of Keihin carburettors, a matt black exhaust system with megaphones, and controls
According to the vendor the machine offered is in good condition throughout and is equipped with original Honda race kit parts including the CYB Keihin carburettors endowing it with excellent performance. Attractively presented in black, a genuine Yamaha TZ250/350 four leading shoe front brake ensures that the performance can be restrained when required.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
