To mark the 50th anniversary of the Mini and its contribution to the RAC rally, it was decided to have a tartan red Mini bonnet signed by personalities of particular significance to this important. One side of the bonnet, is printed with details of every driver and co-driver that has entered the RAC Rally of Great Britain from 1959 to 2003 in a mini. This being a fascinating list of some 495 entrants! On the other side are the signatures of the rallying greats of the past and present, including 3 rally World Champions: Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg and Sebastian Loeb, along with Mason, J. McRae, Brookes, `Whizzo' Williams, Wilson, Sordo, Latvala, Hirvonen, Wilson, Al Qassimi, Perez, Cave, Mills, together with members of the 1960's BMC Competitions department and some past Mini entrants of the rally. It is also expected that by the time of the auction, Hopkirk will have signed the piece. An important piece of Rallying history! All proceeds raised from the auction will be donated to the Whizz-Kidz charity.
