This is one example of some fourteen million mopeds produced by the Motobecane concern under the Mobylette brand which began around the middle of the last century.
JOA 362N is a Mobylette Moby model made in 1957 of 49cc capacity and with the 'twist and go' type of automatic transmission still currently employed on small modern scooters. This attractive moped in its original yellow colour scheme looks to be complete and very original although it has not been heard running recently. The tax disc in the holder shows expiry in May 1976 so it may have been in storage since that time. Entered today from a museum collection, and at no reserve, it is hoped that the future of this now rare example of the moped will be secured and completed by the successful bidder.
