This rare, time-warp Landaulette-bodied Austin was in the same family ownership from new until purchased from a deceased estate a few months ago. Complete with division it is believed to have evacuated the original owner's son and other children from the village of Kelvedon, Essex to Suffolk during WWII. Finished in Green over Black and trimmed in Green leather, 'GHK 123' apparently runs and drives and is MOT'd into June next year, but will still require a degree of recommissioning (tyres etc) before returning to the road. The vendor describes the bodywork as 'exceptionally solid and original', the paintwork as 'showing its age but original', the interior trim as 'good and original, the transmission as 'OK, with no noises', and the engine as 'running well but having a cracked cylinder block' - a spare one is, however, included in the sale; as is the car's buff log book and numerous old MOTs.
