Introduced in 1929 the Sport 14 can be seen as a natural evolution of it's predecessor, the Sport, embodying modifications resulting from experience gained with the earlier model., including improvements to the braking and electrical systems. The engine retained the side inlet and over head exhaust valve configuration of its predecessor but the cylinder and head were physically bigger aiding cooling, particularly under load or when attached to a sidecar. In the models two year production life 4,285 examples were built helping Moto Guzzi achieve the position of Italy's best selling marque.
The example offered has been restored to a very good standard in Italy prior to coming to the UK. It is fitted with an attractive single seat sidecar finished to a similar level, Italy drove on the left until after the Second World War resulting in the sidecar being on the correct side of the machine for British users. It retains the centre stand, should the purchaser wish to use it as a solo, and has working period electric lights and generator. Described as being in good condition throughout, it is offered with a Swansea V5C.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
