Lot details Registration No: JRT293D Chassis No: MA2S5D1147024 Mot Expiry: Nov 2015
This very tidy Convertible began life as a Two-Door Saloon and was professionally converted and restored to Tourer specification in 1993, following which it was rustproofed and undersealed. A 1098cc model, it features numerous upgrades to aid modern motoring including: servo-assisted disc brakes; unleaded cylinder head; electronic ignition; telescopic dampers; high output heater; additional instrumentation and immobiliser. The Minor's history file contains most of the MOTs dating back to the time of the restoration, which evidently show it to have travelled just 15,000 miles since - the current indicated total is an unwarranted 55,135. The car features shiny Green bodywork that's complemented by a Tan hood, Cream-coloured disc wheels and Green interior trim. An absorbing and unusual footnote - apparently `JRT 293D' participated in the closing ceremony for the Manchester-based Commonwealth games of 2002, where it performed a choreographed `dance' with other Moggies. It comes with invoices and photos regarding the restoration.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
