Lot details Registration No: 453 YUV Chassis No: AVK279449 Mot Expiry: May 2015
In the current ownership for c.35 years we are advised this rare and charming van underwent a body off, four year restoration a number of years ago which included hot zinc spraying prior to a bare metal repaint. The roof and floor woodwork was also replaced along with a full interior retrim. Sign-written in gold leaf art deco style it is certainly a head turner and has won a number of past awards at shows including the London to Brighton HCVS, National Beaulieu Austin 7 winner on two occasions and the Bromley Pageant of Motoring. Considered by the vendor to be the most correct of only six surviving Ruby vans it is understood to be to very original specification including working semaphore indicator arms and is described as being in overall good condition as regards its bodywork, paintwork, engine, gearbox and interior trim. Finished in blue / black with black interior, it is offered with Swansea V5 document, recent MoT certificate and road fund licence to 31st May 2015.
