The Triumph Stag was one of the prettiest sportscars to grace the roads in the 1970's and it was very practical and safe especially with the roll-bar fitted. The exhaust note growled from the lovely eight cylinder engine and good examples are now hard to locate.
This particular car, which dates from 1973 was the subject of a professional restoration in the early nineties for the previous owner and cost him in the region of £10000. The car was virtually completely renewed and the extensive work included a bare metal repaint, the original engine was rebuilt with new timing chains, many suspension and steering parts were replaced, a Kenlow fan was fitted and it has covered very little mileage since.
It has the three speed automatic transmission, a documented history file with many old MOT certificates and a new hood has been added to this outstanding car recently which just completely finishes it off.
A real cracker.
Please note that the photograph used is of a similar car.
