1 of just 18 roadworthy DB 2.6 saloons known to the Lagonda Club, chassis LAG/50/127 was supplied new to W.R.K. Silcock Esq of Walton-on-Thames by H.W. Motors Ltd on August 1st 1950. Entering the current (eighth) ownership some thirty-four years later, `OPG 471' was extensively restored between 1988 and 1994. As well as having its ash frame repaired by coachbuilder Brian Grundy, the saloon was rewired, reupholstered (using eleven Cream hides), re-carpeted, resprayed in Midnight Blue over Ivory and treated to refinished wood veneers. Further benefiting from attention to its engine (new gaskets), gearbox (replacement layshaft), clutch and brake system, this rare Lagonda has covered circa 200 miles since work was completed. Offered for sale with history file and MOT certificate valid until December 2013.
