'LYD 105L' underwent a two-year restoration prior to entering the current ownership via our April 2009 Buxton auction. Treated to new wings/doors and a bare-metal respray, it also reportedly had the following components either replaced or refurbished: brightwork, chrome wire wheels, brakes, tyres, exhaust, radiator, engine and clutch. Estimated to have cost around £9,000, work also saw the Roadster benefit from a new interior: red-piped black leather upholstery, wood-rim steering wheel, wood veneer dashboard and replacement hood/frame. Further improved over the last four years via the addition of electronic ignition (2009), an exchange gearbox (2010), replacement starter motor (2010) and new fuel pump (2012), the MG is described by the vendor as being in "excellent overall" condition. Taxed, tested and ready to go.
