2008 Piper GTR Evocation

- The original Piper Car Company produced the original PIPER GTR for the 1969 Le Mans Race, with the help of Kingston University London, and only four were ever built by them
- In 2006 Piper Racing Cars Ltd provided Kingston University with the necessary computerised information to carry out tests on aerodynamics, radiators, fuel tanks, and engine location in a new space frame chassis
- In 2008 the new GTR "EVO" was completed with new chassis, suspension, rear uprights, 40 litre foam filled fuel tank, 1600 cc Ford Zeetec/Sigma engine and five speed gear box to use as a track day/race car
- A 50 miles shake-down testing was satisfactorily completed on Bradwell on sea Airfield
- The complete car weighed only 620 Kilos
- The build costs were a little over £50,000 and the present condition is "As New"!
- This car could easily be upgraded to compete in Sports/GT races anywhere in the world or with suitable modifications could become a unique Classic road car
- The complete "EVO" body moulds could also be available for sale
