Quoted when new as having 340bhp, sufficient for a 0-60mph acceleration time of 4.1 seconds and top speed of 170mph
This well-presented Griffith 500 features White paintwork teamed with White leather interior trim and rides on a set of BBS split-rim alloy wheels. It is believed to have covered just 48,000 miles from new and was subject to a major service in 2017 at the cost of £2,119 and minor services in 2018 plus 2019 at a cost of £2,119. The vendor presently classes the bodywork, interior, engine and five-speed manual gearbox as being in ‘very good’ order, and the paintwork as ‘good’. The TVR comes with a large collection of invoices and old MOTs, plus owner’s manual and service book. For many, the cream of the TVR crop is the no-nonsense Griffith. Manufactured from 1991 to 2002, it was propelled by derivatives of the ubiquitous Rover V8 engine, with the most powerful version, as per the sale car, being equipped with a TWR-developed 5-litre unit boasting an output of 340bhp and 350 lb ft of torque - sufficient for a 0-60mph acceleration time of 4.1 seconds and top speed of 170mph.
