Voted European Car of the Year for 1988 by the largest number of votes in the history of the contest, about 2.5 million vehicles have been sold worldwide, both in LHD and RHD, as a saloon and estate. The 1.8 GLX was only available for production years 1994 and 1995 with the 1761cc four-cylinder petrol engine and five-speed manual gearbox which was producing 103bhp when new.
This 1995 right-hand drive example was first UK registered in November that year. Finished in Aqua Marine Green with a Grey cloth interior. The 405 has only covered a total of 64,820 miles from new with only six former keepers as well. ‘N161 PBC’ is presented today with the stamped service book, extended warranty book, service schedule booklet, audiobook, owners handbook, warranty book, and dealer guide.
