Lot details Registration No: 5319 CR Chassis No: A2S77017 Mot Expiry: April 2014
Coming from long term ownership, having been given to the vendor by his father as an 18th birthday present when starting university in 1965, this rare survivor built in 1959 and first registered in March 1960 was the subject of a painstaking restoration by Woodbridge Classic Cars Ltd which was completed in 2000. The owner wanted the car to be as near to a new example as is possible even going so far as to commission Scottish weavers Hunters of Brora to recreate precisely the fabric for the cloth seats that were a feature of the Basic Mini. Now emerging once again from long-term storage and resplendent in Farina Grey with Grey cotton cloth interior, having had just two owners in its life, this charming and extremely low mileage 848cc manual transmission example still retains its original registration number and is offered with Swansea V5 document, a certificate confirming its 1959 build from the 1959 Mini Register together with assorted correspondence. It has a full 12 month MoT.
PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle has an MOT until April 2014.
