The Lotus Esprit was introduced in 1976 and was a sensational Giugiaro styled mid engined successor to the Europa Special. Like other Lotus it was built around a steel backbone frame with all independent suspension and disk brakes and it has amazing road holding and the 210bhp turbo version was introduced in 1980.
This particular example is highly collectable for several reasons but two of the main ones is that it is one of the rare limited edition models and is number 20 of only 21 produced and also it was originally purchased by Patrick Motors of Birmingham and it was put in their museum and has completed a warranted and absolutely genuine 250 miles from new. It is an original right hand drive manual version with the 2200cc engine and it is quite probably the only completely un-touched example available in the world.
This is a major collectors item and would grace any garage and it is without doubt one of the best models that Lotus produced in its latter years. It is only for sale today due to the death of the vendor's father and we are very envious of the lucky new owner.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
