The Maserati Bora was produced in a seven year period from 1971 and was a chunky, ultra fast and effective two seater mid engine supercar which was a competitor to the Miura and later the Ferrari Boxer. Ital designed, the early examples had the 4.7 litre 310bhp engine and latterly the larger and much preferred 4.9 litre 320bhp unit and came with the manual five speed ZF gearbox and gave 165mph top speed.
This particular example, which is entered from the same private collection in the Midlands and is only for sale due to the death of the vendor's father, is a very rare example of this Italian supercar and has the 4.9 litre engine. It is described as being in lovely condition throughout and comes with the lovely colour scheme of the red coachwork and the black interior but we are informed that it has not been used much recently.
This is one of the greatest sportscars ever built and ranks alongside the best of the best and this is a very good example and would grace any collection.
Please note: The brake fluid is leaking on this vehicle.
