By the mid sixties Honda were firmly established as a major player in the North American market, with the CB twins, particularly in 250 to 450 form proving to be extremely popular thanks to their good combination of performance, sophistication and reliability. The CL range were a development of the CB variants intended to provide a degree of off road capability. The CL 72 offered is typical of the breed with a high level exhaust system, knobbly tyres and a bash plate lending an off road air to the motorcycle.
The example offered has recently been imported from the United States where it had been standing for a number of years. Its mechanical condition is unknown, however, it does appear to be largely complete and should provide a good basis for restoration. The vendor will provided a C and E 389 and is happy to assist with the paperwork reuired to register the machine in the UK.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
