We are indebted to the Vendor for the following information:
"Imported from Germany last year, this very tidy near standard example of a 1979 GS1000E was recommissioned last year and registered in the UK. As it had been sat in a collection for some time in Germany the top end of the engine was stripped, inspected and all was in excellent condition. It was fitted with a new DID cam chain, new chain guide and tensioner, new piston rings, all new gaskets, oil, filters, valves were reground and all valves shimmed. Although not concours, this machine is very presentable, starts on the button and runs very well. Ready to enjoy for the summer. The registration document is currently in Swansea getting changed to Historic tax class and due to COVID-19 will not be back in time this will be forwarded to the new owner as soon as it is back."
