We are indebted to the Vendor for the following information:
"The Iconic Ducati Street Scrambler made 1973 in Italy as shown by DM engine prefix.
Only covered 140 km since restoration.
Presented in the best colour Ducati Giallo Ochre.
I acquired this in 2013 complete, but with no paperwork and over the next year or so restored it. Engine was fully stripped cases vapour blasted all bearings and seals replaced valves reground and re-shimmed.
Frame blasted and powder coated.
Tank and other chrome re-chromed then painted in the Ochre yellow with correct black stripes.
Wheels rebuilt with new rims and stainless spokes new bearings.
Forks re-chromed.
Brand new genuine old stock seat sourced from Italy and brand-new clocks and surround also genuine. other new parts included cables, fasteners, number plate mount, chain, battery, tyre, tubes, fork seals, etc.
As can be seen on the speedo it has only been out on sunny summers days since, once to win second place in a bike show. Comes with UK logbook showing registered in 2015 as I had to register it once finished as I had no reg number or paperwork. Year of manufacture is 1973 so Historic, Tax and MOT exempt.
Also included a rivet on VIN plate which I had made but never fitted the side bag brand new (never liked them!), a Dellorto carb VHB24 as it is currently on an Amal mk1 and the remains on a tin of the paint for any minor chips.
This is not concours but is very nice. The rivet counters will point out a few minor non-standard items, but it is very close to original."
