The BSA's' lightweight models were for many their first experience of the freedom enjoyed by the motorcyclist, even if that freedom was primarily one from the bus queue or the trudge, on foot, to work. Consequently these little bikes and their cousins, mainly products of the Great British Motorcycle Industry based in the West Midlands for more than half a century, are looked upon with fond nostalgia in the present day.
HUK 646 is one of those basic, simple bikes which encourage those who remember these times to attempt to re-live their youth and once more get back in the saddle, or on the twin seat if 'our Gladys' is still game. Restoration ripe, this BSA C 11 250 of 1952 vintage is rusty and dilapidated with but a few small parts missing, and has a Swansea V5C document, so no registration problems will be evident in future. It is entered by a museum for disposal with no reserve, as it is outside the collecting policy of the museum, so should find a new owner at a realistic market price in today's saleroom.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
You can collect your new pride and joy from our venue until 1pm the day following the sale or our partners are on hand to help arrange safe transportation:
