Lot details Registration No: APR 886 Chassis No: 0H10125 Mot Expiry: Exempt
Finished in black with green leather, 'APR 886' has been in the current ownership since 1975. One of the last examples built in May 1932, it was delivered new to Guernsey before returning to England shortly before the outbreak of WW2. Used sparingly by the vendor up until 1993 when the car received "a lot of fettling", it was then used more regularly before having the engine reconditioned in 2002. At this time it was fitted with the desirable downdraught head conversion. Since this work was carried out the car has been used for regular touring around both the UK and Europe. With a rich patina to the black bodywork and green leather interior, "very good" engine and a recent hood and sidescreens, this rare 2-litre Continental (only 26 are believed to survive out of a total production of 47 according to club records) is offered with Swansea V5, old-style logbook and VSCC Buff Form. The original head, manifold and carburettor, an Auto Vac and water pump body also accompany the car.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no spare water pump included with this vehicle.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
