Lot details Registration No: 3431 TJ Chassis No: 5FU291 Mot Expiry: Sept 2003
One of the later Silver Cloud IIIs to leave the Rolls-Royce factory at Crewe - and therefore having the most desirable specification of the day which included such luxuries as automatic transmission and power steering - the 1964 example being auctioned here today is being sold with the cherished registration 3431 TJ.
The handbuilt motor car, which resided in a Lancashire collection and had been the subject of an extensive restoration being finished in silver and grey with grey interior, was acquired by the current owner at auction right here in Buxton in February 2000.
The full build history and plenty of paperwork with full details of a September 2001 engine rebuild by Halifax engineers H Horsfield and Sons, is included in the car's well stocked documents file. Needless to say, the 6230cc 8-cylinder engine is in particularly good condition following its rebuild, says the vendor, whilst chassis, body, paintwork, interior, transmission, electrics and tyres are all reportedly in good condition too. Unlike a depreciating share certificate, here is a much sounder investment, which you can drive and enjoy.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
