Colin Seeley started to manufacture G50 and 7R powered machines utilising frames of his own design during 1966. With the closure of the AMC race shop Colin formed Seeley Racing Developments Limited and purchased the manufacturing rights to the 7R and G50 ensuring the continued supply of parts and complete machines using the Seeley frame. Subsequent successes at all levels of motorcycle competition ensured that, with the upsurge in interest in classic racing, Seeley framed G50's would be among the most desirable for those wishing to compete with a number of specialists supporting them.
This example was built by George Beale during 2004 for the Scottish champion Tim Miller. It is fitted with "high power" 92mm Beale G50 engine fitted with an Amal Concentric MK2 carburettor. Drive is taken to the back wheel via a six speed Quaife gearbox cluster housed in a magnesium gearbox casing. The lightweight frame is fitted with Ceriani forks and a Fontana four leading shoe, 210 mm front brake and a 180mm rear brake. The fuel tank and seat unit are to George Beale's own design. We are informed that the motorcycle has covered only 150 miles since completetion.
