The Tribsa came about for much the same reason as the Triton, although its forte' was on the rough rather than the tarmac. Contemporary scrambles machines from the major manufacturers all displayed compromises which adversely affected their performance, for some enterprising individuals the blend of the fine handling BSA frame and easily tuned Triumph engine provided an answer. In more recent years the Tribsa has become a popular mount for those competeing in the pre 1960 class of classic scrambles.
This example features a BSA frame and swinging arm, braced and strengthened where appropriate fitted with a tuned 6T engine, ignition being provided by a Lucas racing magneto. A Norton clutch and slimline Enfield primary drive case are fitted and the machine is equipped with alloy rims and Norton Roadholder forks with Japanese internals. A set of Marzocchi shock absorbers will adorn the rear end by the time of sale
Described as being in good condition throughout and eligible for pre-1960 events it was last used at the Kendal 2 day Classic event and the Bunny Ward Scramble at Hawkstone Park.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
