The Citroën Xsara was manufactured by the French automaker PSA Peugeot Citroën, under their Citroën marque, from 1997 to 2006 and was a development of the Citroën ZX and Peugeot 306, which shared the same platform and running gear. The VTS was praised for its punchy, tuneful engine, excellent ride/handling balance and well-sorted steering at the time.
