The second-generation MG TF changed from the earlier car’s complex Hydragas suspension, in favour of coil springs. Believed to be c.600 produced, the Sprint 135 iteration offered a blend of exclusivity and enhanced styling and was equipped with a 1.8-litre engine producing 134 bhp, similar to the standard TF 135, but it was tuned for a sportier driving experience. Available in five unique colour combinations: Solar Red, XPower Grey, Starlight Silver, Le Mans Green, and Trophy Blue2, the Sprint 135 included special badging and interior trim to distinguish it from the standard models. A classic British sportscar that offers great value and a little touch of exclusivity today.

Supplied new, by the long-established family run MG dealer Summit Garage (Dudley) Limited on 28th September 2002, the TF, finished in Starlight Silver with the chrome pack and part leather and Alcantara seats, has been in current ownership since 2017. Pleasingly, the TF is also supplied with a quite rare and original TF hardtop. In its current ownership, the TF has been maintained by specialists MG Tastic. Key work includes all belts being changed and a major service carried out in January 2022. Additionally, a new starter motor, 4-pot callipers, and new seat belts have been fitted, along with recent Toyo Proxes tyres. The engine has been remapped by SAWS Tuning to approximately 155bhp and received an MLS head gasket in 2022. An engine overhaul was previously completed in 2017, with documentation available in the form of invoices and photographs of the restoration work. A new clutch and wishbones were replaced in 2015. The car is offered with a comprehensive history file, the original service book and owner’s manual. It also includes a new plastic window in the hood, an MG deflector, a tonneau cover, and a hard top.
