  • Well specified MasterAce Surf with 'Skylite' roof, camping curtains, fridge, air-con and rear CD player etc
  • 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine allied to automatic transmission
  • Recent major service including a cambelt change

Introduced in November 1982, the MasterAce Surf was an upmarket version of the TownAce and only sold via Toyota Stores. A front mid-engined design that shared many of its mechanical components with the contemporary HiLux, the newcomer was visually distinguished by quad headlamps and sizeable impact bumpers. Equipped with swivelling and folding seats, the MasterAce’s interior was notably versatile. Facelifted in 1985 and again three years later, the Toyota could be specified with a fridge, multi-speaker sound system and ‘Skylite’ roof. Powered by a choice of petrol and diesel engines allied to manual or automatic transmission, the compact MPV remained in production until 1992 achieving a cult reputation in certain European markets.

Imported to the UK from Japan in 2000, this particular example is said to be in notably good condition underneath. Fitted with a 2.0 litre turbodiesel engine, automatic transmission, fridge, ‘Skylite’ roof, multi-speaker stereo (rear CD player), air-conditioning, camping curtains and electric windows etc, ‘G693 MEP’ is said to have recently been treated to a major service including a cambelt change. An economical and funky alternative to a VW Camper, this rare MasterAce Surf is offered for sale with V5C Registration Document and MOT certificate valid until October 2023.
