Designed in the ‘60s to resemble the iconic Aston Martin of the 1930s by company founder Nick Green (hence the company name ‘NG’), the TA used the easily maintained and readily available MG B or Marina running gear presented in its own bodywork, and as a series production vehicle is registered as an NG TA and is classed as a historic vehicle by the DVLA. Although fairly small in size, with a narrow body, they can seat four people, although easier if the two in the back are children! Early examples were built under the Pastiche TA International brand, before ‘NG Cars’ became the official company name.
Supplied in kit-form to the original builder in 1989, the NG TA offered was originally manufactured as a Morris Marina 1800, the registration number of which it carries. Fitted with the Marina 1798cc straight-four B-Series engine with the four-speed manual transmission, the NG is finished in White with Red leather interior upholstery and carpets, as well as Black weather equipment comprising hood, tonneau cover and side screens. Completed over a period of 1989 to 1992, by the first owner in NG form, ‘JOJ 502N’ was retained by initial owner until purchase by current family ownership in 2001. Now showing a post-completion recorded mileage of just shy of 16,000 miles the NG has been used regularly by the vendor for daily use, events, and road runs. Benefitting from conversion to run on unleaded fuel and fitting of an electric cooling fan, the NG has been serviced annually in current ownership and has recently benefitted from a clutch fluid change. Accompanied by a large history file which comprises original sales literature; build manual; correspondence with the builder and factory; a collection of MOTs going back to 2001, and a current V5C document.
