The Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited (BSA) was established in the Small Heath area of Birmingham in 1861 and, as the name suggests, BSA manufactured weapons. Around the turn of the century they started making bicycles and progressed onto motorcycles a few years later. BSA went on to become one of the world's largest producers of motorcycles up until its demise in the early 1970s.

This BSA C11 has been converted to a very handsome trials specification motorcycle including an alloy tank, alloy mudguards and a single sprung seat. The starting point has been a 1953 BSA C11 with a rigid frame and telescopic front forks. There are a lot of nicely made brackets and stays that have been made by the engineer owner, that give it that authentic look. Not used in anger and lying unused for a number of year, there are a few items missing and unfinished, providing a new custodian with plenty to do to put their mark on the machine, and once recommissioned it could have a future as an interesting pre 65 trials bike. It comes supplied with a current V5C registration document.
