The Plymouth Cambridge was introduced for the 1951 model year and was available in a wide range of body styles, including standard sedan, a suburban station wagon and a 2-door coupe as presented here. Fitted with new features such as downdraft carburettors and "safe-guard" brakes, that had two hydraulic cylinders per front wheel instead of singular ones. Powered by a ‘flathead’ inline-six engine, the Plymouth Cambridge was the mid-range model of the Plymouth lineup during its production but only remained part of the Plymouth line-up for two years, with production ceasing in 1953.

Manufactured in 1951, this two-door Coupe variant of the Cambridge is presented in Turquoise with complementary Grey cloth interior upholstery. Fitted with the 217 ci flathead 6-cylinder engine allied to the three-speed manual transmission, the Plymouth was imported into the United Kingdom in the late-1980s. Retained in current ownership for thirteen years, the vendor purchased ‘OSU 154’ from the previous custodian who had possessed the Cambridge since 2001, with a total of just five former UK keepers, the coupe is displaying circa 99,850 miles.

Subject to much expenditure and improvement while in the current ownership, work completed includes an interior refresh with retrimmed seats and new headlining; extensive mechanical fettling; gearbox overhaul; a complete rewire; new water pump and hoses; a new, period appearing, radio with auxiliary connectivity; comprehensive re-chroming and a re-cored radiator amongst other improvements. Accompanied by a vast collection of invoices, a large number of previous MOT certificates and a current V5C.
