Bimota is a manufacturer of exclusive sports motorcycles that epitomise Italian flare and engineering excellence. Founded in Rimini in 1973 by Valerio Bianchi, Giuseppe Morri, and Massimo Tamburini, the company name is derived from the first two letters of each of the three founders surnames. Because of the poor state of frame design in the 1970s, Bimota concentrated initially on building high-quality motorcycle chassis around existing engines and chassis kits for race bikes, initially basing their bikes on the top models from Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki. One of their most successful models was the SB6 built around the classic Suzuki GSXr1100 oil cooled engine.

This beautiful 1994 SB6 is one of only 790 Red/White/Carbon models produced and is in good original condition having only covered 5355 miles. The previous owner liked its looks but wanted more power so the engine was subject to a full V+M engine tune at a cost of £6780, with receipts and a dyno chart showing 139.4 BHP included in the sale. The suspension was reworked by Maxton at the same time with the bike only having had a shakedown run of 100 miles since. In storage for a few years, it has recently been recommissioned by Jack Valentine himself. This is a very usable future classic that comes supplied with numerous receipts and a current V5C.
