The Morris 8, which was produced from 1935 until 1937, was one of Morris's great 1930s success stories and was one of Britain's best loved pre-war cars and was in fact the Company's saviour. They were sporty looking cars with attractive saloon bodies, although they had a certain 'Dagenham' look about them, and according to Michael Sedgwick were operational trainers for the M.G.
Offered here is a late Series E version of the much-loved Morris 8, as seen on BBCTV's 'Father Brown'. First registered in July 1946, this Morris is paired with a rare Brockhouse BT5 camping trailer. Acquired by the previous vendor as a lockdown project, it has undergone significant restoration work while ensuring preservation of its original character. Gracing the screens in the BBC drama, there's a distinctive WW2 driving light mask adorning the nearside. Additionally, Brockhouse BT5 camping trailer was restored to match the Morris's aesthetic. The accompanying history file documents restoration work, including a repaint in Green and attention to the upholstery. A fun and charming combination with ‘on screen’ provenance and offered without reserve.
