During the first half of the seventies the relationship between Yamaha's trail bike range and the moto cross models was very close with the two ranges sharing common engine designs and similar cycle parts with development in one discipline benefiting the other. Yamaha's largest trail bike of the period, the DT360, was a manifestation of the relationship with its engine design and capacity being derived from Yamaha's open class motocross bike. When used in the DT 360 the engine was in a very gentle state of tune, delivering only a few more horsepower than its 250 sibling, however, it was endowed with a prodigious amount of torque and remarkable flexibility, characteristics that endeared it to many trail riders.
This example dates from the first year of production for the DT range of reed valve equipped motorcycles. It is presented in very good original condition with only 3,215 miles recorded on the odometer and is described as running well by the vendor. It is offered Vat and Duty paid in the UK.
