Mot Expiry: None

The first Mini Cooper appeared in 1961, following a tie-up with champion F1 constructor John Cooper. The stroke of the standard 848cc engine was lengthened to 997cc which, together with other improvements, raised power output from 34 to 55bhp - a close-ratio gearbox and front wheel disc brakes completed the package. That engine was replaced by a shorter stroke 998cc unit in 1964, while the Mark II version launched at the 1967 British Motorshow featured a redesigned grille, larger rear window and numerous cosmetic changes. `UHJ 212H' is a MKII Cooper that vacated Morris's Cowley plant in 1970. It is smartly presented in Blue with a contrasting White roof and Black interior trim. Its specification includes such enthusiast modifications as reverse rim steel wheels, rev-counter and Mountney leather-rimmed alloy steering wheel, and the mighty Mini is being sold complete with V5C and a selection of three old MOTs to 2013.
