Introduced during 2001 as the successor to the illustrious GSXR 1100 the GSXR 1000 had a tough act to follow both as road bike and in competition. During the first years of production the machines competition activities were confined to the open class, however with the change in capacity limits for World Superbike and National Championship racing to 1000cc from 750cc for four cylinder machines the GSXR was able to demonstrate its abilities at the highest level.

In recent years the Team TAS Relentless Suzuki have represented Suzuki as their works team in British Superbike, Supersport, road racing and motocross establishing an enviable record of success thanks to the quality of the machines and the riders they employ.

The GSXR1000 offered is a unique piece of motorcycle racing history. It was built by the TAS Relentless team specifically for use by the works team riders (Cameron Donald and Bruce Anstey) on sighting laps of the 2010 Isle of Man, North West 200 and other road races to full "works superbike" specification.

The machine was built using a full TAS race fairing kit, Tokico race braking system, TAS Superbike wheels, TAS Renthal clip-ons and Valter Moto hand made rear sets. The engine is fitted with a full factory titanium twin pipe Leo Vince race exhaust system and full race throttles. Carbon fibre side casing protectors are fitted and the machine is equipped with TAS factory front and rear suspension.

The machines performance is, as a consequence, awesome, with approximately 200 bhp available, to quote the vendor "you could race it if you are brave enough, on the road whatever comes your way will be blown away". And therein lies the great appeal of this machine, this motorcycle was registered for the road on the 17th March 2010 and has covered only 380 miles since completion making it unique in being a full race specification superbike built by a works team that is legal for use on the Queens highway.
