The Thema topped the Lancia range with choice of five engines, 1995cc four, with or without turbo, 2445cc diesel, 2849cc V6 and 2927cc V8, the latter 8.32 using the 8-cylinders, 32-valves motor used to power the Ferrari 308GTB.
The 1988 Thema 8.32 being auctioned here, a lefthand drive very high performance saloon, was originally registered in Switzerland and has full Swiss service history which reveals that the 3-litre engine was renewed at 83,683 kilometres. When entered for this sale, 159,584 kilometres were displayed on the odometer and this is believed to be the genuine total from new. On being imported to the UK, the car was issued with the F148 EBV registration that is currently on the car.
The Italian bodyshell, above and below, is claimed to be in very good condition with the blue paintwork good and the brown interior excellent. The 8-cylinder motor is reportedly very good, the electrical equipment excellent and the 5-speed manual transmission in good order. Included with the car is the original tool kit.
