Several changes of ownership didn't help Jensen's post-war fortunes and although the Interceptor sold well for a decade, liquidation followed in 1976. A revival saw a few hand built Interceptors produced in the 1980's and this was indeed a brave attempt to break the Ferrari/Maserati/Lamborghini/Aston Martin stranglehold on the grand touring cars.
The vendor has owned this MKII Interceptor since new and he has only managed to accumulate some 39,942 miles in that time. He describes it as being in exceptional condition throughout and naturally comes with the 6276cc V8 engine and the automatic transmission. It has the factory fitted air conditioning, Rostyle wheels, the original eight track stereo tape player and a current V5 registration document.
The Jensen Interceptor is a great car to drive and they are unbelievable value for money in today's market and this rare and lovely example is currently tested and taxed and ready for the new owner to drive away from today's sale.
