Lot details Registration No: OZ 9060 Chassis No: RMF62S9939 Mot Expiry: Oct 2013
The RM Series cars were the last 'proper' Rileys. This RMB is a 1952 example that's finished in Green and Beige and trimmed in Tan leather. It was used by the vendor to contest the 1997 Monte Carlo Challenge rally, on which it apparently performed "above and beyond the call of duty". He describes the venerable Riley as being "a great car with loads of character" and currently regards the four-door bodywork and 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine as "excellent" and the paintwork, interior trim and four-speed manual transmission as "very good". Currently displaying an unwarranted 50,376 miles, 'OZ 9060' is taxed until the end of September, MOT'd into October and comes complete with an early logbook as well as a V5.
PLEASE NOTE: The chassis number of this lot identifies it as a RMF and not a RMB as mentioned in the catalogue description.
