A sensational example of one of the rarest & highly sought enamel advertising signs produced in the 1920's, featuring winged Shell clamshell insignia above `Aero Shell Lubricating Oil Stocked Here' text. Striking blue/yellow/red/white enamels used, offered in very good original condition to both sides, retaining almost full gloss & sporting only minor enamel loss/rusting primarily to the edges. Includes two holes for flange mounting on a hanging bracket. Highly attractive & very seldom-seen. Approximately 72x39cm.
