Lot details
Registration No: GIB 407
Chassis No: 115/094
Mot Expiry: July 2002

This car was the first right hand drive Maserati Ghibli made and the 47th produced of a production run of 1,149 coupes between 1967 and 1973. It was built in september 1967 and sent to Maranello Concessionaires for exhibition at the London Motor Show at Earls Court after which it was sold to a Mr Knight of Rochester, Kent.
It was originally painted in Celeste Chiarowith the interior trim being finished in light blue connolly leather. It was supplied new with a twin plate competition style clutch (and still retains one) though we have been assured that the current Borg and Beck clutch is as good as new, having been checked recently. The car was also fitted with twin calipers on each front disc from new whereas in later cars they werechanged to single calipers.
The car has had one titled owner since 1988 and in that time has had some £24,000 spent on mechanical and general restoration and close study will reveal it to be a wonderfully presented and excellent driving car which is currently MOT'd until July.
