Lot details Registration No: OJC117R Chassis No: SABTURC3917149628
An automotive engineer and off-road enthusiast, John Foers developed his first Ibex during the mid 1980s. Allying Land Rover running gear to a bespoke galvanised spaceframe chassis resulted in far better ground clearance and approach/departure angles than Solihull's finest could manage. Available in a variety of wheelbases and 4x4 or 6x6 configurations, the Ibex remains in production today www.ibexvehicles.com (though, only 100 or so are thought to have been made). Purchased by the vendor in kit form during November 2006 for £9,289.51, `OJC 117R' was assembled using a Range Rover donor (axles/transmission) and Land Rover 200Tdi engine. SVA tested and re-registered as a Foers on August 2nd 2007, the Ibex 250 has covered just 700 post-completion miles. Returned to Foers in October 2008 for some £6,182.60 worth of fettling, the three-door 4x4 boasts a mid-mounted Foers Vector Winch, Outlast Exmoor Trim upholstery and five-spoke Compomotive alloy wheels shod with Kumho Venture M/T tyres.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
