Current between 1964 and 1966, the fourth generation Thunderbird was available in Hardtop, Convertible or Landau guises. Powered by a 390ci / 6.4litre V8 engine allied to three-speed automatic transmission, the four-seater had the performance to match its striking looks. Manufactured in 1965 and first UK registered during August 1968, `BUP 897G' is described by the vendor as being in "excellent" condition with regard to its engine, automatic transmission, electrical equipment, bodywork and paintwork, while he rates the interior trim as "very good". Reportedly treated to a major engine overhaul within the last 1,000 miles, the Thunderbird is also understood to have benefited from a brand new hood and overhauls of its power steering and power hood assemblies. Further boasting a "highly detailed engine bay", this eye-catching Ford is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until April 2014.
