Lot details

Chassis No: 9F37REX105188
Mot Expiry: June 2009

Reportedly beginning life as one of just 204 roadgoing Vauxhall 'Droop Snoot' Firenzas, this particular example was converted into a racer during late 2006 / early 2007. Prepared to a high standard its impressive specification (see below) was influenced by legendary ex-DTV Manager Bill Blydenstein, ex-DTV chief mechanic Gerry Johnstone and ex-Group 1 racing driver Denis Bissell all of whom consulted on the project. Suffering just one retirement from seven starts in 2007, the Vauxhall underwent various modifications the following year to make it road legal and thus more versatile / usable for events such as the VSCC's Pomeroy Trophy etc. Still more at home with apexes and chequered flags than traffic lights and speed bumps, we are informed that the 'Droop Snoot' is potentially eligible for the CTCRC's Post-Historic and Group 1 Championships as well as the Masters and Heritage Challenges. Variously described by the vendor as being in "good" (engine, gearbox) or "very good" (bodywork, paintwork, electrical equipment) condition, this fearsome looking Vauxhall is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until June 2009.
