The Tesi, despite continued development never wholly fulfilled its potential. Doubts continued about its handling at high speed with rumours of high speed weaves circulating. The Tesi 2D finally laid these concerns to rest. The machine can be viewed as the ultimate expression of the Tesi concept, which, due to the appliance of modern manufacturing techniques and the use of advanced materials eradicated the variables in some component parts tolerances that had caused the problems in the earlier machines.
The Tesi 2D was built by the Rimini based Vyrus concern. The firm had been established by a former Bimota employee under instruction from Bimota. The new model was entirely hand-built. The bodywork was manufactured entirely from carbon fibre contributing to the machines light overall weight of 30lbs or 150kgs. Power was provided by a specially tuned Ducati 1000SS engine with a bespoke electronics package and air suspension of the highest quality was fitted. It is believed that no more than 40 of the machines were built between 2004/2005 with approximately half the production being exported to the States.
This example is frame number #0001 and is offered in as new condition.

PLEASE NOTE: The vendor has undertaken to cover the costs of obtaining an SVA certificate to enable the machines registration.
